Shaunterrice Kendrick is a speaker, mental health advocate, mentor, instructor, and organizational change professional whose work is rooted in one belief: people should not have to struggle in silence to be considered strong.

With more than 17 years of experience spanning the United States Marine Corps, the Intelligence Community, systems engineering, organizational development, training, and advocacy, Shaunterrice has spent her career helping people navigate demanding environments, build resilience, and move through change.

During her military service, she served in leadership, training, mentorship, readiness, and victim advocacy roles. Her additional training in Operational Stress Control and Readiness (OSCAR), sexual assault advocacy, and victim support strengthened her commitment to creating environments where people feel seen, supported, and equipped to ask for help before reaching a breaking point.

That commitment is also deeply personal.

Shaunterrice understands firsthand what it means to struggle with mental health, to carry difficult experiences quietly, and to rebuild after seasons that challenge your sense of identity, strength, and purpose. Her own journey taught her that resilience is not pretending everything is okay. It is having the courage to acknowledge what hurts, seek support, heal, and keep moving forward.

Today, she uses both her professional expertise and lived experience to advocate for healthier people and healthier systems.

Whether she is speaking to a community, working with an organization, mentoring an individual, or engaging with students and educators, Shaunterrice creates conversations around mental health, resilience, leadership, belonging, and the importance of building cultures where people can thrive—not simply perform.

Her passion is helping others recognize that difficult chapters do not have to define the rest of their story.

She believes communities can heal, organizations can change, schools can become safer and more supportive, and individuals can rediscover their voice, confidence, and sense of possibility.

Through speaking, advocacy, mentorship, and education, Shaunterrice works to help people move from surviving what they have experienced to understanding that they still have the power to shape what comes next.

“Resilience isn’t how much you can endure. It’s having the courage to heal, ask for help, and choose what comes next.”
