About The OutSpoken Collective

The OutSpoken Collective is more than a nonprofit—it’s a movement for the misfits, the survivors, the cycle-breakers, and the truth-tellers. Founded by Shaunterrice Kendrick, a veteran and mental health advocate, we exist for those who are tired of pretending to be okay and ready to heal out loud.

Through powerful keynote speeches, trauma-informed workshops, and real conversations that challenge the status quo, we help people reconnect with their truth, their courage, and their healing. Whether we’re speaking to a room full of professionals or a circle of survivors, our message stays the same: healing is possible, and you don’t have to do it alone.

This is a community for those rebuilding from the inside out. Because we believe no one should have to choose between getting help and getting by—and no one should have to do it in silence.

Owner, Mental Health Advocate, Keynote Speaker

Shaunterrice Kendrick is an advocate, keynote speaker, and 11-year U.S. Marine Corps veteran whose voice is rooted in raw truth, deep healing, and unshakable faith. Her mission is to reach those silently struggling with their mental health — and remind them that survival is possible, and healing is worth the fight.Shaunterrice’s journey into advocacy began with her own battle. As a mother facing the depths of depression and suicidal thoughts, she was urged by her therapist to enter a partial hospitalization program — a decision that would ultimately save her life. Through a combination of professional support, the right medication regimen, and her faith in God, she began a healing process that became the first true act of self-care she had ever allowed herself.

Today, she shares that story not to relive the pain, but to light the way for others. She speaks with courage, clarity, and compassion about what it means to live through a mental health crisis as a woman, a mother, and a survivor — and what it takes to reclaim your life after the storm.Shaunterrice holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Settings and Change from Penn State University and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Sociology at American Military University. Her work bridges the personal and the academic, addressing the complex realities of trauma, motherhood, identity, and mental health access for underserved communities.Whether she’s on stage, leading a workshop, or speaking one-on-one, Shaunterrice Kendrick brings truth, hope, and powerful testimony to every space she enters. Her goal is simple: to help others choose themselves, just as she finally chose herself.
